toggling through circuses...

Return

It’s been a while since I last posted on my blog. I am ashamed and I deserve all your blasphemes. There is a good reason though. Last weekend was the weekend where the only night attraction was sleep. This embarrassment cannot be shared with mates…J . Anyway, these times are past and a new weekend is just around the corner (no relevance to the fact that I live next to a cemetery…;) ). A weekend with the long expected and suddenly uncertain Depeche Mode concert. It appears that Dave Gahan, the band singer, after a life full with heroin abuse and several suicide attempts, felt ill. Let’s just hope that the rock gods will be romanian on Saturday and Depeche Mode will hold their gig.

Now a few words on what this post is all about. On Tuesday, with a few friends (Chris, Ina, Deia, Mada), we went to the Medrano circus. This was the first time to interact with a real circus…live. Of course, my whole life tends to be a circus, but that doesn’t count. It was fun to see the extraordinary interpenetration between old and new…between dancing horses, giraffes, tigers and the sphere spinning motorcycles. It was very entertaining. Medrano will perform only until may 17th (one of earth’s greatest days :) ) . So hurry! It’s not a chance to miss. A chance to see the circus not as you see/feel it every day. The only drawback will be the pity that the wild bests (animals) will inspire you. That’s sad but…that’s the life…and unfortunately not only in the circus world…
