the great trip...episode one...

Return

Day1…The great trip started Friday 31st at 6 PM when we gathered at Cora. Five “men” in one car…:). Our first checkpoint was Bals, my hometown for those who didn’t know. We arrived after two stops, Pitesti and Slatina. It took us one hour to finish the long awaited meal…:). It was already Saturday the moment we left this great town.

Day2…We were still on the road. Near the border we encountered a taxi car left in the middle of road. It was involved in an accident that almost took it in the Danube. We arrived in Vrsac in the morning. After a two hours sleep we headed towards Novi Sad. Before reaching Novi Sad we had to pass through Zrenjanin. This was the perfect moment to make a flat…:). After changing the wheel and finding a vulcanization station, we had probably the most unsafe meal… We finally arrived at Novi Sad and after a few hours of sleep we, the ones who didn’t go to the wedding, went out to take the pulse of the city. I don’t know about the city but one thing I can tell you for sure…it has a great population…at least the feminine part…:). We were lucky to witness to attend the show performed by the Serbian polo supporters…Serbia…Serbia… The night ended with the walk on the road we called Beba Kids…a road full of night life…

Day3…After the first night sleep in this trip we went back in the city for souvenir hunt and breakfast/lunch. At noon we had to take the cars to the train station. On the road to the station we encountered a red lada with four persons and a Kalashnikov. All our jokes about Serbians weren’t so funny anymore…:). After letting the cars at the train station we returned to the city, a part with a taxi and a part with a local bus. We had time to take the dinner and one last pivo(beer) before reaching the train. In the berth, before going to sleep, we sang and had a lot of fun. The only strange moment was when a Serbian, probably gay, motorbike rider came to me and said that this will gone a be a long night with problems…good problems…:|.
